GE13: ROS has allowed DAP candidates to use the party’s rocket symbol in a letter handed over to the party
By WINNIE YEOH
BUTTERWORTH: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has allowed DAP candidates to use the party's rocket symbol in a letter handed over to the party's headquarters in Petaling Jaya at about 10pm on Friday night.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng however said that the ROS could revoke the letter if it does not recognise the party's central executive committee.
“I hope there will not be any last minute changes to the decision to allow our party candidates to use the rocket symbol,” he said to reporters after handing over his nomination papers to stand as Bagan parliamentary candidate at SJK (C) Kwang Wah here today.
He said the papers submitted by the party's candidates in the constituency has been accepted by returning officer Rozali Mahmud.
