Church theft
POLICE received a report that holy relics valued at €8,100 were stolen from a church in Klirou between 8.30pm on Wednesday and 7am yesterday. The local police station is investigating the incident.
Drugs find
SYNTHETIC drugs were found in a package that arrived to a post office in Limassol from abroad, police said. The package contained 500 grammes of green plant material in two clear bags and one kilo of a black solid substance in two plastic containers. Both substances are believed to be synthetic drugs. A statement given during investigations provided evidence against a 35-year-old Limassol man who was arrested.
Bomb blasts
A BOMB exploded in a company-owned car in Nicosia at around 12.20am yesterday and another exploded outside an office building in Limassol at around 3.20am.
Only material damage was caused by the blasts.
Police investigated both scenes and collected evidence. Both bombs were improvised devices.
