Jennifer Garner's daughter Violet may have a furry new best friend.

The youngster was seen cradling a stuffed panda bear as her 41-year-old mother picked her up from classes in Brentwood, California on Tuesday,

Showing her feminine side, the seven-year-old donned a pale yellow dress over a white collared tee, resting her pink backpack on her left shoulder.

Learning how to accessorise at a young age, the sister of Seraphina, four, sported a multicoloured bracelet on one wrist and a purple one on the other.

She was also carrying an orange book that was marked with her name on the front cover.

And in her other hand, Violet held onto a sweet snack, possibly a treat she was rewarded.

Her blonde locks were pulled back into a messy ponytail, revealing her pink plastic-framed glasses.

She surely had a great day, smiling from ear-to-ear - revealing her missing front tooth - as she strolled along in her gym shoes and striped socks.

Jennifer appeared happy as well, flashing a grin as the two headed towards their car.

She was dressed in a white blouse and grey button-down cardigan, paired with skinny denim trousers and grey sneakers.

Appearing to have had more time to get ready, her brunette locks were were styled straight instead of being pulled back out of convenience.

And she seemed to have some business to attend as well, clutching a Mac laptop computer in her left arm, along with some papers.

@zhanna, they have 'unkempt' hair because they're young kids. They play, they run around, they have fun. They're not walking the red carpet. These Affleck kids must be the happiest, most normal looking celebrity kids in Hollywood. Jen and Ben are clearly doing something right - messy ponytails included. No future Paris Hiltons here. Violet will probably be running the UN someday.

Showing her feminine side in a pale yellow dress? She's wearing her school uniform.

I really hate Jennifer garner and her boring family

This poor family are in the newspapers every day. It's just harassment and I admire them for managing to keep a normal family life going. That said, they're probably unaware of the photographer since they're probably hiding in a bush somewhere.

Zhanna, London, you obviously don't have daughters.

I so wish paps would let stars and their families who are trying to lead normal lives, alone. Rough for the children and many celebrities don't want all this publicity - they're famous for their talent and don't need daily coverage.

Zhanna, London: It did not matter how carefully and meticulously my mother did my hair in the morning, after running around all day I came home looking like I'd been in a tornado. My mother was so exasperated! In every picture of these girls, they seem to be happily skipping and jumping along, must be the same while they are at school! Let her have her fun and messy hair for now, she's only 7, and she shouldn't have to look "red carpet ready" just because her mum does sometimes!
