Why Didn't I Get Super Saver Delivery?

This page briefly explains why you may not have qualified to Super Saver Delivery. If you selected Super Saver Delivery, but you were still charged for delivery, the links below will help you work out why.

Did you select Super Saver Delivery?
Was your order above the threshold of £25 (applies to eligible destinations outside UK)?
Did you place the order using 1-Click?
Is the delivery address outside the UK or an eligible European destination?
Did you select an Amazon Locker location as your address?
Did you merge orders?
Did you group items into as few deliveries as possible?
Did you buy the items from a Marketplace Seller?

For a full list of terms and conditions, see the Super Saver Delivery help page.

Did you select Super Saver Delivery?

When placing an order, you must select the "FREE Super Saver Delivery" delivery method in the order form.

If you have already placed the order, but it hasn't yet entered the dispatch process, you can go back and change the delivery method to Super Saver Delivery.

  1. Click Your Account at the top of any page.
  2. Click "Your Orders".
  3. Sign in with your e-mail address and password.
  4. Click the "Change Delivery Option" button next to the order you want to modify (if the order has already entered the dispatch process, you won't see the button).
  5. Select "FREE Super Saver Delivery" and click the "Confirm" button.

Note: Super Saver Delivery is not the default delivery method for 1-Click as the total delivery time (from when you place your order to when it arrives) is approximately 3-5 days longer than for First Class delivery.

Was  your order above the threshold of £25 (applies to eligible destinations outside UK) and eligible for SSD?

The order must be £25 or above to qualify for destinations outside UK. For UK orders can include Marketplace items that are "Fulfilled by Amazon" (usually items from Amazon Merchants or Warehouse Deals). For Europe, eligible items are those purchased directly from Amazon.co.uk, or from the Amazon.co.uk Marketplace where marked "Fulfilled by Amazon", excluding gift certificates and certain electrical items (where this is stated on the item's product information page). If your order qualifies for FREE Super Saver Delivery, you will still be charged a delivery fee for any ineligible items in the order. If your order contains items that are labelled as "Fulfilled By Amazon" those items themselves will need to total £25 or more to qualify for FREE Super Saver Delivery.

Did you place the order using 1-Click?

You cannot choose to take advantage of free Super Saver Delivery if you use 1-Click to place your order. You must use the shopping basket and select "FREE Super Saver Delivery" on the "Dispatch" page of the order form.

However, you can go back and apply Super Saver Delivery to a 1-Click order if it hasn't yet entered the dispatch process. Follow the instructions above.

Did you buy the items from a Marketplace Seller?

Items dispatched by Amazon.co.uk are eligible for free Super Saver Delivery. For the UK and Europe, this includes items that are "Fulfilled by Amazon".

All other items sold by third-party sellers on the Amazon Marketplace are dispatched directly from the seller and are not eligible for free Super Saver Delivery.
