Barnes & Noble Nook HD+

Verge Review

Barnes & Noble picked a tough time to revamp its lineup of tablets. On the one hand, the 7-inch market is both more crowded and more mature than ever thanks to the Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, and iPad mini. Meanwhile, the newest iPad is better than ever, and the Nexus 10 and Kindle Fire HD 8.9 are both solid options as well. But the company soldiered on, bringing both the Nook HD and Nook HD+ to market in time for the holidays. When I reviewed the Nook HD, the smaller of Barnes & Noble's two...

Very unhappy with this product. I love to read but this wasn't cool at all. And after one year was not possible to use. Lines on the screen took over completely the half of the screen. Not useful at all. I used Pandora program and checked my emails in the bedroom. Don't waist your money on that! Your phone can do that too. Very disappointed!

I purchased the Nook HD+ for my wife for Christmas, they claim that these are a tablet but I really do not see it that way.
If not for my wife I would have returned this the day after Christmas, the android system they are using is so out dated and locked you cannot do anything with this thing unless you purchase from B&N; really lame.
I am still trying to talk her into a full blown tablet like the iPad or Nexus the Nook HD+ was $299 plus another $35.00 for the cover witch has a big U on the back, so you pay them $35 buck to advertise there product.
She has spent another $150-$200 on apps and books so that totals $534.00 dollars and she has only had it 2 days.
The iPad with Retina display $499.00 that is totally loaded with apps and books not to menschen all the free stuff you can get.
My opinion do not waist your money my wife thinks it grows on trees and who am I to tell her different anyway I do not have the courage to do so.
    Thanks for letting me post.
