Alyson Hannigan enjoys being a working mom as she treats her daughters to a day in New York... then dresses up for TV interview

As a working mother she is adept at juggling her schedule.

And Alyson Hannigan turned a work trip to New York into a chance to bond with her daughters on Wednesday.

Ahead of an interview on David Letterman the actress was spotted leaving the Trump SoHo hotel for a day out in New York with her daughters Keeva, 11 months, and four-year-old Satyana.

Holding her pink onesie-wearing youngest in her arms, the redhead held the hand of her eldest girl as they walked into the streets.

They were a casual family with Satyana wearing a floral dress and bright shoes with socks.

Alyson, 39, wore jeans with a black top and flat pumps as well as a stripy cardigan.

It was later that the How I Met Your Mother star really shone as she emerged in an electric blue frock.

She wore the sleeveless number – featuring a floral print lace overlay – with a metallic pointy toe heels.

The screen favourite was arriving at the studios for the Late Show With David Letterman and stepped out of a large black vehicle gracefully.

Her actor husband Alexis Denisof, 47, perhaps took care of their children while she filmed the interview.

Alexis has appeared on nine episodes of the comedy TV show as the character of Sandy Rivers.

He has also been starring as Conall Sheehan on H+ since last year.

It is the tale of a future-set story in which a virus has wiped out most of the human race, and those still alive have their minds linked to the Internet 24 hours a day.
