Their friendly rivalry has split Trekkies down the middle.

And Alice Eve and Zoe Seldana were the ones winning all the attention again at a Star Trek Into Darkness event in Mexico on Wednesday.

The dynamic duo had obviously set their outfit choices to stun as they stole the show from the more senior members of the franchise present.

Alice, 31, who plays Captain Kirk's squeeze Dr. Carol Marcus in the pictuyre, looked in fine figure in an eye catching midlength orange gown.

Zoe who stars as Communications Officer Uhura, went for a subtler black and white number, though its plunging neckline made sure she gave reporters at the press conference an eyeful.

While they were hogging the attention, the more dedicated fans also noticed director JJ Abrams and Captain Kirk actor Chris Pine were also there.

Meanwhile a new drama from producer-writer J.J was announced as part of Fox TV's 2013-14 lineup.

The series, which has the working title Almost Human, was described by Fox as an 'action-packed' police drama set 35 years in the future, when officers are teamed with human-like androids.'

The cast will feature Lord of the Rings and Dredd star Karl Urban, Barbershop 2: Back in Business actor Michael Ealy and Casa de los Babys favourite favourite Lili Taylor.
