She's garnered attention for her powerful singing voice and her 50lb weight loss.

And now, Jordin Sparks is turning heads with her fresh new hairdo.

The 23-year-old co-hosted the world's largest group game of Words With Friends with Crystal Light Liquid in New York City on Wednesday.

Looking slimmer than ever, the American Idol winner donned skintight black leggings with leather panelling that showed off her enviable figure.

A bright orange tank top layered under a leopard print jacket, and its bias cut accentuated Jordin's ever-shrinking waist.

Though her slim body easily could have stolen the spotlight, it was the starlet's chic new 'do that caught everyone's eye.

Before heading to the event, she shared a picture of her new look with her 3.6 million Twitter followers.

'New hair!!! What do you think?' she asked.

Her shoulder-length waves and eyebrow-skimming fringe collected hundreds of 'likes' on her Instagram photo, along with comments praising the new look.

Perhaps the cut was an inspired fresh start as she heads into an upcoming album release and movie role.

Jordin will next appear alongside American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson in The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete.

The coming of age story is about two inner city youths who are left to fend for themselves over the summer after their mothers are taken away by the authorities.

The Alicia Keys-produced drama will screen at the Montclair Film Festival on May 3.
