Dye me maybe! Carly Rae Jepsen ditches the jet black locks to become a fiery red head in image make-over

Aside from her catchy pop tunes, Carly Rae Jepsen's biggest trademark is her jet black hair and heavy fringe.
But it seems that the Canadian pop star has decided to ditch the dark hair colour to become a red head, tweeting a picture of her new look for all of her followers to see.
In a bid to update her image, the 27-year-old seems to have completely revamped her appearance, looking almost unrecognisable in the snap.
Red alert! Carly Rae Jepsen debuted her new red hair colour via her Twitter account on Tuesday, after ditching the black
Wanting all of her followers to see her dramatic new look, the Call Me Maybe singer uploaded the photo to her account, writing: 'I've always wanted to go red!'
And instead of her usual sharp, poker straight hair style, the singer had opted for a more feminine look with her locks curled in soft waves and pinned half back.
It looked like Carly had decided against her usual attire of bright colours and short skirts as well, choosing a floaty white dress for her day.
Updated image: The Canadian pop star seems to have ditched her rocky style in favour of something a bit more feminine
Posing with one leg up in the air and her head turned over her shoulder, the This Kiss singer seemed to be trying out a more girlie style.
The day before she debuted her new hair colour, she teased fans by letting them know she was thinking of a change, writing: 'At the Salon- doing something drastic :)'
Carly has been cultivated an edgy and slightly rocky look over the past few months, but obviously decided that she wanted to mix things up.
Big decision: Carly told her fans that she was 'doing something drastic' in the salon a day before she debuted the new colour
Trademark style: The star, posing with boyfriend Matthew Koma in February, is known for her poker straight jet black hair
Last week the star was in New York to promote her album Kiss, fitting in some fun with friends in between her stream of interviews.
The star has admitted that her teen pop princess vibe and baby face makes people think that she's younger than she is, telling Cosmopolitan last year:
'If people think I look younger, then that’s great; I’m stoked. But I turned 27 in November, and when I look in the mirror, I see all the years attached to that face, and I’m content with me.'
Carly initially skyrocketed to fame last year thanks in part to a fan tweet from none other than Justin Bieber who liked her song Call Me Maybe.
Justin became a huge fan of Carly's and referred her to his manager Scooter Braun, which resulted in a contract with Braun's Schoolboy Records label and other lucrative deals.
