Her morning didn't begin well with her shockingly sporting ratty hair and make-up free face.

But Gwyneth Paltrow got her glamour back later that evening as she went to dinner.

The actress was seen leaving Lafayette restaurant in New York City after enjoying a meal.

The 40-year-old looked great in a pair of black leather trousers and patent heels, which created a sharper appearance than her earlier style.

Gwyneth teamed it with a sleeveless collared white top which featured mismatched hemlines and ruching at the bust.

She teamed the ensemble with a monochrome bag and wore her blonde locks back in a sleek bun.

Gwyneth was spotted earlier with wet hair and fresh-faced as she left her downtown apartment for a photo shoot.

It was two days after she donned pink Valentino at the Met Ball and the morning after an appearance at the Apple store in SoHo.

Clutching her iPhone in one hand, the busy mother-of-two wore an 80s-style white leather jacket with zipper detailing and layered t-shirts in the TriBeCa area.

The self-styled diet and exercise expert was also swimming in her skinny jeans.

She spoke about her no makeup look to People magazine as they recently crowned her World's Most Beautiful Woman.

'Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear make-up,' Paltrow told the magazine.

The Shakespeare in Love star went on to explain that her husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, even jokes about it when she glams up.

'If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ the actress explained. 'Because he’s used to seeing me in, like, baggy shorts and frizzy hair.'

It's no wonder the Oscar winner looked tired on Wednesday after her busy week. After Monday's Met ball with her husband she spent Tuesday night promoting GOOP.

Gwyneth teamed the skintight jeans with a black sleeveless top that featured a plunging neckline and a cutout back.

It was clear from the back that, even after two children, Paltrow doesn't even need to wear a bra.

According to TMZ , some of the star's neighbours - who include Harrison Ford, Oliver Stone and Courtney Thorne-Smith - are angry about a nine-foot tall gate guarding her new home.

Her abode in Brentwood should apparently not be surrounded by anything more than six feet tall and the L.A. City Department of Building and Safety are investigating complaints.

She will have 45 days to fix any violations or face over $900 in fines.

There is something I just don't trust about Gwyneth Paltrow the phrase Mad as a Box Of Snakes springs to mind, as it does when I see Halle Berry!

SO an entire crew devoted to putting her together ALL day long and she looks nice. Natural Beauty...give me a break. And just because some of you still like her ((very few) please stop saying we are jealous etc. NOT (except for her money) but again, there is no other celeb me or my friends or thousands all over the world speak so poorly of...it is because she BEGS for it. She is not anything, thinks she is every thing and we are nothing. So she is very disliked and we have a right to say that we can't stand her without being attacked for it. I never say a bad word about any other celebs, anyone I know - won't even hear it. But she puts it out there, is a total arrogant undeserving sham, is well compensated and over rated for it so let's all stop picking on other commenters here please? It is just frustrating because there are many really great people out there who carry themselves with so much grace and compassion - celebs and not celebs - that it is sad she gets attention.

Her hair is dyed then highlights are added. If you google ' gwynneth paltrow hair pics' you will see a lot with her different colours. I personally think it suits her better when it's golden blonde rather than the very light ash blonde, but it always look great especially as she doesn't have lots of it like Jennifer Aniston and others. Wonder if I could afford her hairdresser lol
