The Cosby Show's Lisa Bonet sues driver for damages after car smash that left her young children injured

The Cosby Show's Lisa Bonet filed a lawsuit on Wednesday seeking damages for injuries sustained by her and her children in a car crash.

The 45-year-old filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming she was driving her Audi in the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank when the driver of a Toyota Camry struck her vehicle in 2001.

The lawsuit claimed that Bonet, her five-year-old daughter Lola and four-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf were injured in the accident and had to receive medical treatment.

The lawsuit did not list specific injuries and sought unspecified damages, according to a report on TMZ.

Bonet was previously married to actor Jason Momoa and they had children Lola and Nakoa-Wolf together.

 

The 33-year-old Momoa starred in the 2011 remake of Conan the Barbarian and also has become well known for his role as Khal Drogo in HBO's medieval fantasy Game of Thrones.

Bonet grew to fame as Denise Huxtable, the daughter of Bill Cosby in the long-running NBC sitcom The Cosby Show.

She also appeared in several films, including Angel Heart with Mickey Rourke and 1998's Enemy of the State with actor Will Smith.

Her other films include High Fidelity, Biker Boyz and Whitepaddy.

Bonet has a 24-year-old daughter Zoe Kravitz, from her former relationship with musician Lenny Kravitz.

Zoe has her own burgeoning entertainment career and has appeared in 2011's X-Men: First Class and will be seen along Will Smith and his son Jaden in the upcoming After Earth.

Zoe has been dating Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley after formerly seeing X-Men co-star Michael Fassbender.
