She was taken to hospital following a bad car accident on Sunday where she luckily suffered only minor injuries,

And now, new photographs have emerged showing the wreckage of Kendra Wilkinson's black Audi following the collision in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

The sports car's bonnet is badly damaged having crashed into another car, which has also suffered major dents and breakage.

A police car and tow truck wait by the side of the road while a man examines the silver car in the photograph.

The former Playboy model was taken to Providence Tarzana Medical Centre in Los Angeles following what is described by TMZ as a 'nasty head-on crash.'

Meanwhile, Police told the website that the person in the car Kendra hit has 'neck and back injuries.'

TMZ allege that the initial investigation shows Kendra 'turned left in front of a car that had the right of way.'

Insiders told UsMagazine.com the blonde beauty was 'in shock and really sore' following the accident.

But her injuries were not determined to be serious, and doctors could not find any broken bones or other damage.

Another source added: 'She was taken in earlier. She was discharged already.'

It is thought that the star was travelling alone at the time of the incident.

Kendra, who has a three-year-old son Hank Jr. with husband Hank Baskett, thanked fans for their concern via her Twitter page on Monday.

'Thank you for all well wishes. Just really reminded me how fragile life really is and how important love really is,' she wrote.

It's been a dramatic few weeks for the mother-of-one, who was forced to bow out of ABC's celebrity diving show Splash earlier this month after she couldn't bring herself to make a dive off a 23-foot platform.

Apologising to her army of fans via her Twitter page at the time, she said: 'Big mistake signing up for the show. Sorry I let you all down.'

In a statement, she added: 'I'm so sorry, everybody. It's bittersweet. One thing I don't do is quit. This is the first time in my life I've quit something. This will haunt me for the rest of my life.'

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Kendra Wilkinson for comment regarding her hospitalisation this weekend but has yet to receive a response.

Is it just me? Because if she was in the Audi, it sure looks like the OTHER car hit HER...... And she turned left? The damage is on the RIGHT side of the car. Oh well, I'm glad she's ok, maybe I can't see! - Gia , New Rochelle, United States, 23/4/2013 23:25***********************It's not difficult to figure out really. It doesn't take a genius to realize the accident happened at an intersection with traffic lights so it's probable she turned left, (exposing the right side of the vehicle) and quite possibly failed to yield, to oncoming traffic.

Pity. And what about the other person involved in the crash? Not important since probably not an ex-Playboy bimbo?

Saved because of her airbags

That's no "sports car"

What happened to the other driver or is it only important if you're some kind of celebrity?

Oh well, I'm glad she's ok, maybe I can't see! --- If the other car had right of way and she pulled out she would be hit on the right side as thats where the other car is coming from... This is why we have professional crash investigators (like me). If she turned left and the other vehicle had the right of way, then the damage is wholly consistent - as are the post collision vehicle positions - with her having turned left into the path of the silver Ford.

It looks a lot to me like the other car ran into her?
