They were clearly having a really wild time.

But that did not stop Gwen Stefani watching her son Zuma like a hawk as he went for a carousel ride in a Los Angeles zoo on Friday.

He looked like he was having a great time as he went round and round in circles as they enjoyed the Golden State's spectacular spring weather.

They took full advantage of the day's spike in temperatures to enjoy the sights and sounds at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

Zuma, her youngest child with her Bush rocker husband Gavin Rossdale, wore a superhero outfit as he zoomed around the merry go round on a plastic eagle.

The fashion loving No Doubt singer looked effortlessly stylish in a grey sleeveless shirt, torn jeans and a trilby.

The canny youngster was given his treat just days after he gave the 43-year-old and early Mother's Day gift.

She was spotted proudly carrying a handmade card from the four-year-old in Beverly Hills in Wednesday.

She carefully carried the handmade card, which featured a photograph him as a baby on the front.

The large card also had paper flowers glued to it and three pink hearts with 'Mom' written on them.

You would think he was too big for a stroller - but my 5 year old niece got pushed round in a stroller last time she was at a zoo as there is so much walking involved. Gwen is stunning.

This is the most adorable, cutest child in Hollywood. I adore seeing pix of him. He looks like a fun handful too.
