Easy rider! George Clooney goes hell for leather as he rides chopper in Italy

His fans are used to seeing him looking suave in a suit at movie premieres.

But that did not stop Gerorge Clooney from going hell for leather as he enjoyed a chopper ride in the hills of Italy on Saturday.

He seemed to be having a great time as he indulged in his bromance with fellow Argo producer Grant Heslov at his sunny European retreat in the city of Como.

The pair had ventured out for some alone time on a sightseeing visit to the city's famous lake.

Man's man George certainly proved his macho credentials in a leather jacket, jeans, open faced helmet and sunglasses.

And just to round off the look, he again wore the bushy mustache that has divided his rabid female fan base.

The colourful actor seems to be indulging in a European tour to celebrate turning 52 last week.

He celebrated his big day on Tuesday evening at the Chinese restaurant Orchidea in Wernigerode, a town buried deep in the Harz mountains of Germany.

Joining him were actor friends Matt Damon, 42, and Bill Murray, 62, who are starring alongside Clooney in his newest directorial effort The Monuments Men.

By the time George's party was over word had spread he was in town celebrating, and he was mobbed by locals and photographers as he headed to his car.

It seems The Return of the Killer Tomatoes star wanted it to be a boys only affair, as he left his grapple star girlfriend Stacy Keibler at home while he had a wild time overseas.

However his 33-year-old former WWE wrestler did not let it get her down, as she partied at the Met Gala in New York City.

mickey you've done this before, and have been corrected before by many readers. Are you incapable of getting it right? That is NOT a 'chopper.' It is just a motorcycle. A 'chopper' is the late 60's early 70's style bike with the extended front forks. This is just a normal bike and from the article there's no sign he went 'hell for leather.' but just drove down the road. I wonder if, sitting at your desk day in and day out, you know what that really means. More probably you don't care, you just like the sound of the purple prose and as usual-to heck with the facts eh?

ah yes, it's summer, so we can expect o witness the beginning of another yet another one of his 'relationhips'. one w/ usually consists of some desperate 20-something wannabe agreeing to spend the summer at his click of the fingers, beck and call. with the odd stage managed paparazzi shots of her in barely there bikini on his boat as recompense. at 50-something yrs of age this misogyny driven pitiful state is starting look quite unappetising.

This area is not made for 'heavy machinery' like this, but I hope they had a good time- beautiful scenery, but very tricky to ride. Stacy will love these pictures:)
