No time for risky fashion! Jennifer Lawrence sticks to head-to-toe black as she hurries through LAX to catch a flight

She won an Academy Award for Best Actress back in February.

And ever since, Jennifer Lawrence has been working at a break-neck pace.

Without time to worry about matching, the in-demand actress opted for what was easy when she headed out of LAX on Thursday - black from head to toe.

The 22-year-old rushed through the airport, clearly in a hurry to catch her flight, yet still managed to look chic.

A felt fedora topped her newly shorn dirty blonde locks, and large Jackie-O black sunglasses, making her look every inch the movie star.

The Silver Linings Playbook actress opted for a strapless maxi dress to keep her comfortable during her flight.

A long black sweater topped her dress, and a studded thin belt gave her waistline some definition.

Black silver-studded boots and an oversized leather tote completed the airborne outfit.

The actress recently commented on her preparation for one of four upcoming roles in 2013.

In an interview with Total Film magazine , Jennifer spoke about how preparing for the Hunger Games sequel has been a breeze.

'If possible,' she said, 'there was even less preparation because I was like, "I've done this before."'

She continued, saying: 'We had a lot of the same crew.

Glamour: Though she was in a hurry, Jennifer looked chic thanks largely to her sunglasses and hat, which topped her newer short hair

'Josh [Hutcherson] and Liam [Hemsworth] were there. Normally, when I do a movie, I'm meeting people for the first time, so it was amazing to be able to have the same group of people. It was so fun.'

In addition to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the Kentucky-born actress will star in thriller Devil Did You Know.

She will also appear alongside Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper in American Hustle and Serena.

She dresses for comfort when traveling, not to make any fashion statement. Too bad her next film won't be released till September or so---too long a wait.
