Neve Campbell celebrates her first Mother's Day weekend as she steps out for a stroll with nine-month-old son Caspian

Neve Campbell is celebrating her first Mother's Day after welcoming son Caspian in August.

And the 39-year-old actress decided to kick of the celebratory weekend by stepping out with the nine-month-old for a stroll through her Beverly Hills neighbourhood on Saturday.

Neve looked effortlessly stylish in a purple tunic and complementary maroon shades.

The Scream star added distressed boyfriend jeans and black studded flats to her relaxed ensemble.

She wore minimal makeup and sported a pair of headphones as she wheeled Caspian in his pram.

Absent from the excursion was the little one's father and Neve's partner, actor J.J. Feild, whom she started dating following her 2010 split from second husband John Light.

Neve told Celebrity Baby Scoop of the experience of motherhood: 'I am absolutely loving being a mother! Caspian is such a beautiful little soul and we are madly in love.

'Anything that is exhausting is well worthwhile. It’s been a beautiful experience, and, at the moment, the work hasn’t been too overwhelming. I am lucky.

'It has been such a beautiful experience, and it makes other things far less important. I think that’s a great thing,' she added.

The Party Of Five actress will finish 2013 by completing filming on an upcoming project, Vivaldi, which chronicles the early life of famed composer Antonio Vivaldi.
