She's won many accolades over the years for her eccentric fashion and played many fashionable characters.

But on Friday, Sarah Jessica Parker's twin daughters Marion and Tabitha showed that style can be genetic.

The 48-year-old was joined by a friend as she walked the duo to pre-school.

Sarah Jessica was dressed in an oversized light blue sweatshirt, with on-trend ombre skinny jeans and mauve ballet pumps.

Tabitha and Marion, who will turn four in June, both wore cute summer dresses, cardigans and flat pumps.

Marion favoured a blue and taupe outfit, whilst her twin Tabitha wore a girly floral dress and a pink cardigan.

They accessorised their look with adorable pom pom headbands.

The Failure to Launch star was also seen walking with her son, James Wilkie, who looked like her was carrying a school project.

The 10-year-old is the eldest of Sarah's children with her husband Matthew Broderick.

Although there is a 38 year age gap between them, James isn't that close behind Sarah Jessica's petite 5 foot 3 inch height.

However, her outfit certainly made a change to what she wore to the Met Ball on Monday night.

Dressed in a huge Giles Deacon ballgown, with thigh high boots, a feather headdress and lace pants, the actress chose a slightly wiser fashion choice for the school run.

Sarah Jessica seems to favour the dressed-down look when out and about with her children and is often seen in chunky knitwear and jeans - much like the other mums at the school gate.

I like seeing these cute little girls. It is also really nice to see a phoo of how much James has grown. But this following them every moment is a bit stalkerish.

"Brilliant" move Sarah...hire a 6 foot tall, drop dead gorgeous super model to be your nanny ! (Because middle aged husbands and hot nannies are such a "great" mix...lol)

No chance they 'inherited' her sense of style because she picked out their clothes then? Grow up DM

Everything this woman does is calculated, including walking the girls to school, she is not happy unless she is in front of the cameras.

@Susie0105 .........the children are NOT adopted, they were carried and delivered by a SURROGATE.

'..style can be genetic'. There's so many things wrong with that sentence I don't even know where to begin. And, um, these twins were adopted, DM!!

Her long hair makes her face look even more horse-like. Cut your hair (or remove the extensions). It's not working for you!

She is always holding the same little girls hand in nearly every picture of them together. She should alternate as when they grow up it is noticeable no matter how old you are!
