The sexposition and skin of 'Game of Thrones'

In the Seven Kingdoms, the fight for the Iron Throne and basic survival leaves little room for romantic dalliances. Of course, that doesn't mean "Game of Thrones" is too busy for sex. Some have charged that the racy fantasy series is downright pornographic at times, not to mention misogynistic. But MSN TV has to point out that the sex, skin and attitudes of "Game of Thrones" are rarely just gratuitous. When two or more characters come together, something pertinent is almost always revealed or changed. Not only does "Game of Thrones" pump up exposition by pairing it with a bit of bump and grind, but the very way characters approach sex reveals much about them. A seemingly trustworthy player, for example, may reveal his true nature by treating a woman with disrespect, while a compliant woman who embraces her sexuality can become a mighty Khaleesi. With a sweaty new season of "Game of Thrones" about to land, here's a look back at the most provocative sex scenes from the first two seasons, along with the purpose each flash of skin served.
