Sacré bleu! Former CSI star Gary Dourdan's playful hijinks go awry after he exposes a French actress's derriere

Actors and actresses are always looking for exposure, but one French star got more than she bargained for thanks to Gary Dourdan.

The former CSI star picked up Zoé Félix during a party at Eden Roc hotel during Cannes Film Festival, but lifted her so high, that her derriere went on show.

Looking visibly distressed when Gary, 46, pulled her up, Zoé looked relieved once she was back on flat ground.

The actor was enjoying drinks on the balcony of the hotel on Friday afternoon, while the wet weather had seemed to have made way for the sun to come out.

Gary wore a long, grey suit jacket over black trousers and a white shirt.

Zoé, 37, wore a green and purple strapless dress that definitely wasn't designed for lifting.

As Gary dipped her lower, the French star kicked her legs out in defiance, but once safe on flat ground the two chuckled about the incident.

Not before they both caught their breath after the comical ordeal.

Gary is in Cannes not to promote a film, rather perform with his band Sugar Free.

The musician heads up the group with DLee - real name Darren Lee - and they played a set at the Intercontinental Carlton de Cannes on Friday afternoon.

Darren was writing and producing songs in Los Angeles before he and the actor/model joined up to do their own musical thing.

But Gary is definitely doing the modelling as he featured in the campaign for French jewellery brand Edouard Nahum.

Actually, DM, the paparazzi are the ones that exposed her by pointing cameras up her dress. And you paid them for it. Let's assign blame where blame is due.

Let's see, how many actresses does that make without knickers? Britney Spears, Anne Hathaway, Lindsey Lohan, Zoe Saldana and now this one. I guess our mother's and grandmother's advice about wearing good underwear in case you're in a car accident is ancient history now. I tell my girls to just wear underwear. You know these actresses can afford it. I say stop blocking the photos and maybe they'll be embarrassed into dressing properly.
