Monochrome mommy! Tamar Braxton shows off her baby bump in black and white as she works the American Idol finale

She has a pretty incredible voice of her own, coming from a famous family of singers.

But as all the attention was on the remaining two contestants on Thursday night, Tamar Braxton drew in looks by flaunting her baby bump.

The reality personality arrived at the finale show for American Idol at the L.A. Live Nokia Theatre venue wearing a black and white ensemble which emphasised her baby bump.

Tamar donned black skinny jeans and a peep toe boots on the red carpet, adding a black top with white trimming as well as an ivory jacket.

She wore her tresses in a slick high ponytail and cradled her baby bump for onlookers.

Tamar, who is wed to record producer Vincent Herbert, 45, and announced her pregnancy in March, appears to be due sometime this summer.

The sister of singer Toni Braxton not only presented the nominees at a BET Awards event this week but she is a nominee herself in the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Centric Award categories.

Traci Braxton, Toni Braxton, Trina Braxton and Towanda Braxton all have children, leaving Tamar as the last of the sisters to have a child of her own.

She tweeted, 'Get it Candice! !! #REALSINGINGSTILLMATTERS' as the contestant was announced triumphant.

That evening Candice Glover and Kree Harrison fought it out to be crowned the winner of American Idol Season 12.

R&B singer Candice, 23, appeared to be the slight favourite while country crooner Kree, 22, proved to be a strong rival.

‘Either way, we're gonna celebrate tonight,’ Harrison said at the beginning of the show.

Glover admitted the pair were ‘out of it’ following the finale whirlwind.

The winning finalist of the Fox singing competition will be awarded a record deal and could follow in the footsteps of such chart-topping winners as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood - or less successful champs like Lee DeWyze and Kris Allen.
