Rebel with a cause! Wilson battles the bulge as she goes for a power walk in VERY tight trousers

It seems Rebel Wilson finally has a cause.

For the cuddly comedy star was spotted battling the bulge by pounding the pavements of Los Angeles on Monday.

The actress wore a look of grim determination as she went for an early morning romp, no doubt keen to avoid the soaring temperatures later in the day.

Rebel, 27, hardly looked like she was having a great time as she marched around in a tight green T-shirt, even tighter grey leggings, baseball cap and trainers.

But at least she had some music to keep her entertained, as she wore a pair of top of the range headphones to blast out her favourite tunes.

The Bridesmaid's actress has divided opinion with her particular brand of humour, which often sees her use her size as a comedic device.

Rebel recently claimed Hollywood's fascination with her current shape was preventing her from shedding weight.

The star tore up her agreement with weight loss giant Jenny Craig last year before reaching her target goal, which was shedding 44 pounds.

She said: 'Because of my filming commitments in America you have to sign contracts where you can’t change your physical appearance.'

Her most recent silver screen outing in a Capella comedy Pitch Perfect saw her play a character called Fat Amy.

How can people be so horrible? People make fun of her for being fat and when she tries to change it people make fun of her. This is a sick society which we live in!!!

I absolutely applaud her choice to do something about her health. But she's been exercising for months now yet she doesn't appear to have lost any weight? I too was once obese, the minute I started exercising, the changes were visible. Within two weeks I had lost 10 lbs. Rebel is still the same size....?
