I told you United would beat City to the title! Yorke taunts Platt at Milner Foundation's golf day (but Hart didn't see the funny side)

It is less than 24 hours since Manchester United sealed the Premier League title with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa, bringing the reign of rivals Manchester City to an end after less than a season.

It would come as no surprise if those at City were still dejected at surrendering their title, particularly after Sunday's 3-1 defeat away to Tottenham, and if their management were feeling it then it won't have done Roberto Mancini's assistant David Platt any favours to run into Dwight Yorke – particularly on the golf course.

The United legend appeared unable to resist taunting the City coach as the two played at Mottram Hall earlier today at the James Milner Foundation Charity golf day.

Also present was Joe Hart, City's keeper who has already revealed his frustration at City letting their one-goal lead slip on Sunday, and team-mates Gareth Barry and James Milner.

For all of their disappointment, however, they still looked in better condition that many of their United rivals would have done, given their extreme but understandable partying in the hours after they were confirmed as this season's champions.

Sportsmail understands there could yet be an individual award heading to Hart, however – one inspired by his impressively stylish approach to clothing – even if his frustration continued as he underwhelmed with the club as his first drive fell off tee and his second topped and went behind him, sparking him to throw his club to Milner's obvious entertainment.

Pleading? Perhaps Platt could take no more of Yorke's teasing

Tailam, Brighton stupid question. I think Platt knew the title race was over weeks ago as did Mancini. So that's your answer. Bit of a damp squib really number 20 wasn't it?. It's been forgot about all ready, because you'll never ever repeat the way it was won last season.

And David Platt also wants to shave his ego. I wonder what his face looked like when the championship was won in style by Manchester United?.
