Don't tell my macrobiotic Mom! Madonna's daughter Lourdes indulges in fast food treat with friends

Her mother is famous for her dedication to the macrobiotic diet, and once admitted to considering a simple slice of toast to be a 'splurge'.

But it seems Lourdes doesn't follow the 54-year-old's strict approach when it comes to food.

The 16-year-old was seen acting like any other student would, enjoying a meal of fried chicken from the fast food chain Popeyes in New York City this week.

As the pair sat down to chat, they happily tucked into the fast food meal which included fries.

Dressed down in blue jeans, a white halter neck top and a pale blue backpack, Lourdes Leon looked like one cool student.

It's not the first time Lourdes, who is known for her individual style, has shown signs of rebellion against her mother and her strict ways.

Last year, she was caught smoking a cigarette much to her mother's chagrin.

Talking about her her daughter, Madonna admitted: 'I don't think I'm as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher. It's hard, every day is a negotiation.

'But cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of, for anyone. I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter.'

Earlier this year, it was also revealed that Lourdes has started dating actor Timothée Chalamet.

Timothée, 17, who appears in the series Homeland, met Lourdes at the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art & Performing arts.

The pair both appeared in the school's production of Sweet Charity together in 2012 and are said to have quickly hit it off.

Timothée graduates in this year's class of 2013, while Lourdes graduated the following year.

Lourdes' father, actor and personal trainer Carlos Leon, has spoken publicly about how he is protective of his little girl in the past.

When asked about Lourdes dating he said: 'I'm dreading it... I want her to stay young forever. I'm already overprotective, so when the time comes, I will be ready to have a talk with the guy she brings through the door. He better be ready because I'll give him the run-down!'

@Craig, London - that is a smartphone. That's about the smartest phone I ever used. It's a Nextel and they don't have them in the UK. It's a phone and walkie talkie all in one and I still miss the distinctive beep beep sound all over Manhattan. Why don't we have Nextel in London?!?

Get a life and realise that teenagers love junk food - and as a treat from time to time - won't do her any harm!!!
