In full bloom! Reese Witherspoon brightens up Los Angeles in an orange frock as she stocks up on flowers

It was already a sunny day in Los Angeles on Wednesday, but Reese Witherspoon provided an extra bright touch.

The actress looked like one happy camper as she hit up Whole Foods for fresh organic fare and flowers.

The festive orange dress Reese was wearing may have had something to do with her cheerful mood.

The 37-year-old accessorised the comfortable-looking loose frock with a canvas belt and T-strap tan leather, studded sandals.

Reese also splurged on bouquets of bright yellow blooms, which she was seen cradling around the flower stall tenderly.

She was seen leaving the healthy food store carrying one full-to-the-brim brown paper bag.

On her other arm she lugged a chic designer tote the colour of rich butterscotch.

With her back-to-blonde hair pulled in a no-fuss ponytail, Reese appeared to be filling up her day with errands.

It was recently reported that Reese will reunite with her Walk The Line co-star Joaquin Phoenix in a new project.

Reese and Joaquin will star in Paul Thomas Anderson's new crime drama Inherent Vice, according to Deadline.com.

Owen Wilson and Benecio del Toro are also said to be joining the cast in the movie which 'takes place in Los Angeles at the turn of the 1970s, as drug-fueled detective Larry Doc Sportello investigates the disappearance of an ex-girlfriend.'

It will be a welcome respite perhaps from the unflattering press Reese received following her arrest for disorderly conduct last month.

The pint-sized star was heard saying things such as, 'Do you know my name, sir?' to the Atlanta police officer who pulled over Reese and her husband Jim Toth under suspicion of driving under the influence on April 19.

A public relations tour. You'd think she was actress enough to convince us she's enjoying it.

She reminds me of someone who got completely trollied at the Christmas work do & then spends January creeping around the building trying so very hard not to make eye contact or get noticed.
