Will this finally be her chance to crack the music industry? Rapper Lil Wayne signs heiress Paris Hilton to his record label to make a house album

In November of 2012, Paris Hilton and Lil Wayne collaborated on the little-known song Last Night.
And on Wednesday, the pair confirmed their affinity for working with each other.
Lil Wayne signed the 32-year-old heiress to his label, Young Money Entertainment.
Oh dear: Paris Hilton is set to unleash her singing skills on the world again after signing a record deal with rapper Lil Wayne
Music maven: The heiress, here pictured on Tuesday in Cannes, released a pop album in 2006 but plans for her new album to be of the house variety
According to TMZ, the rapper's mentor Birdman confirmed the news via Twitter.
He said: 'Lil Wayne's Cash Money family has a new member! Paris Hilton: RichgangRichgirl.'
The blonde bombshell shared her own excitement on Twitter as well, saying: 'Love Lil Wayne, he is so amazing! Can't wait for our new song! #I<3YMCMB'.
Expressing her love for Young Money Cash Money Billionaires, the reality star spoke to Showbiz411 about her upcoming album.

Her new music will reportedly focus on house music produced by Afrojack, which is unsurprising as the beauty has been DJing at various clubs all over the world.
The collaboration is curious, however, as Afrojack slammed Paris after her DJ debut back in August, saying:
'I saw and I was like … ugh,' he said. 'I think it's really important that if you go in front of a crowd and DJ, you actually take the time and practise becoming a DJ....Also, it was pre-recorded.'
Good luck kiss: Paris received an enthusiastic smooch from River Viiperi at the Cannes Film Festival
This won't be Paris' first hand at a record.
In 2006 she released a self-titled album that featured the pop hit Stars Are Blind.
Paris told Showbiz411 that '[the new album] is a lot different than my first album. It's really going to be house music.'
Though the release date of her house music hasn't been announced, the star sits on a label that hosts many successful artists.
Also signed to Young Money Entertainment are the likes of Drake, Nicki Minaj and Soulja Boy, all of whom have seen their careers skyrocket once signing with Lil Wayne.
