Joanna Garcia and baseball player husband Nick Swisher 'over the top excited' as they welcome a baby daughter

Reba star Joanna Garcia is the new mother of a baby girl.

The 33-year-old actress had her first child on Monday with her baseball player husband Nick Swisher.

News of the birth broke out when Nick, 32, was placed on the paternity leave list on Tuesday by the Cleveland Indians, meaning he'll be out for one to three games.

Swisher's manager said the family was doing fine.

'Everybody's doing pretty well,' Indians manager Terry Francona told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. 'Everybody's healthy. He's obviously over-the-top excited, proud, all that stuff.'

The Reba actress announced her pregnancy on Twitter back in November.

Joanna and Nick were married in 2010 in Florida.

Joanna's bridesmaids at the wedding included her friends Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Reba McEntire.

The couple were living in New York City while Nick was playing for the New York Yankees, but recently moved to Cleveland where he's playing for the Indians.

Joanna is best known for playing Cheyenne Hart Montgomery on The CW sitcom Reba.

She later starred in the ABC sitcom Better With You as Mia Putney.

Her husband is in the first season of a four-year, $56million contract with the Indians.
