Morgan Freeman falls asleep during live television interview
|
As well as being the consummate actor it seems that Morgan Freeman has the ability to catnap just about anywhere.
The 75-year-old actor may have been woken a bit too early as he joined co-star Michael Caine for promotional interviews for heist movie Now You See me.
However Freeman could not stay awake and was grabbing forty winks during a live interview with a US TV channel on Wednesday.
Time for a nap: Veteran actor Morgan Freeman nodded off during an interview with co-star Michael Caine to promote his new film Now You See Me

Awkward: Freeman's sleepy moment came during an interview with a Seattle TV station while video-conferencing in from New York
While Caine was his usual gregarious self Freeman nodded off a couple of times during the interview with Q13 FOX News This Morning crew while the pair were actually sat live on air.
The show's presenters Kaci Aitchison and Bill Wixey chatted to Freeman and actor Caine, 80, about the movie - but perhaps their line of questioning wasn't quite stimulating enough.
Awkwardly the presenters never actually tried to wake Freeman - and instead just continue the interview with Caine who seemed oblivious.
...Maybe he just needed to rest his eyes
Freeman woke himself up about halfway through the satellite chat, but still had a hard time keeping his eyes open.
However, given his long and esteemed movie career, it's fair to say that Freeman - who plays Thaddeus Bradley in the Robin Hood style heist movie - has probably heard many of the questions before.
In Now You See Me Freeman stars alongside Jesse
Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Woody Harrelson as a group
of illusionists known as the Four Horsemen.
Cool in shades: Actor Morgan Freeman stars as Thaddeus Bradley in the magical motion picture

They use their magic show as a cover to rob the wealthy elite and give the stolen money to people who've lost everything during the economic crisis. Think Robin Hood for the modern age.
Inglorious Bastards actress Melanie Laurent
also stars, along with Mark Ruffalo as a federal agent determined to
bring the Horsemen to justice.
Caine, who previously starred alongside Freeman in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, plays a Bernie Madoff-type who wants to get his fortune back from the Horsemen.
Now You See Me opens in the US on May 31.

Morgan Freeman is pretty well known to be able to fall asleep on set in-between takes. I saw an interview with one of his co-stars, can't remember who, but he was pantomiming the whole bit about as soon as the director would say cut, Freeman would nod off.
