The audience cooed as the picture flashed on a wide screen showing a big-eyed blonde tot wearing furry bunny ears and black and white-striped jumpsuit.

'I have a new baby. His name is Lion. He's six months old,' Alex told host Ellen DeGeneres

'He’s the best,' the 36-year-old actor said of his son with his girlfriend, model-surfer Malia Jones.

'That’s Easter. He was representing!'

'He’s very measured,' Alex added.

Alex has a teenaged son from a previous relationship.

'My big boy, Saxon, is kind of rowdy,' Alex told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. 'He’ll be 16 in July and he’s huge. He’s like 6-foot! It’s terrifying.

'Malia has a four year old named Spike. It's like a man factory in the house!'

Alex, who plays Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett on the CBS show, begins shooting the series' fourth season in July.

He also gave viewers a glimpse of what his life in the island paradise is like.

'I bought a house. It's beautiful. It's mid-centruy. It's all open. I would like to completely re-do it,' Alex said.

'I live in a gulley. The critters come in. It has doors and windows throughout most of the house,' Alex joked, adding that the nice deck wasn't built by him but by a professional carpenter.

'I'd like to say I built it, but if I did it would be sloping.'

While most would assume Alex surfs, he admits it's really not his thing.

'I don't really surf. I'm not that good. I'm not committed,' he told Ellen.

On his muscular physique: 'That's a lot of work to look like that. I look like that for a week and a half of the year if I'm lucky.'

I don't know who he is but his body is made for sins. Fantastic, all men should look up to him and try to sort out themselves. They usually look like a bag of jacket potatoes, pregnant or whatever. Not a very nice look, especially when they lack the money eh. No money+no good body=loserville.

They started dating in 2011 and they have 2 children? She obviously had an agenda from the start. Can't see this lasting very long.

What is it with celebs and the ridiculous names they force on to their children? He's smokin' though, love the show.

Love Hawaii Five-0!!! I prefer Scott Caan though, he's so sarcastic & funny. The chemistry between the two of them has really shone through this last series though & you are getting to know the characters better. McGarret is a lot more likeable & human now, he was too perfect before but he's really growing on me now. Gutted season 3 is coming to an end!!!

Gorgeous couple! H50 is a little over the top, but I like the action and IMO it has one of the best looking casts on television.

I love Five O so much, I watch the re-runs from series 1 onwards whilst watching the current series, and Alex is seriously good looking. I had a teenage crush on his 'Dad' in the original as well!

Am I the only one who gets the joke - although terribly at the little child's expense - that the kid will be the Hawaiian Lion? I mean, come on! Bruno Mars jokes about it, calling himself the Hawaiian lion as well.. :D I think it's hilarious, and there ARE weirder names for kids. Moses, Apple, just to mention some ;)
