Geoffrey Case
Geoffrey Case

Geoffrey Case has written for the theatre, television and the screen. His films for television include Fairies (a film based on Conan Doyle's investigation in 1915 into photographs of fairies), Bloom, Riding South, Buses and This Could Be The Last Time. Fighting For Gemma, a film for ITV, was based on the true story of a family suing British Nuclear Fuels over their daughter's death from leukaemia. Scab, based on events during the miners' strike, won the Rai Award at the Prix Italia and Prix Futura at the Berlin Film festival. His film, The Accountant, won the BAFTA Award for Best Single Drama, the Critics Award, and a nomination as Best Single Drama by the Royal Television Society. He has written for the television series Minder and for Inspector Morse. He is one of many to have written a feature film screenplay for Miramax, and he is currently adapting the James Campbell biography, Paris Interzone. He has had plays produced at the Soho Poly, Croydon Warehouse Theatre, Birmingham Rep and the Young Vic. His adaptation of Tintin's Great American Adventure (the first time Tintin had been adapted for the stage) was staged at the Arts Theatre, London. His play, Samurai, was recently included in the Connections Festival at the National Theatre.
