Meet my little sister! Beaming Gisele Bündchen enjoys a night of sibling revelry

Gisele Bündchen is clearly a doting big sister.

The supermodel took her younger sibling Gabriela as her date to a private party in New York, on Wednesday night.

The Bündchen girls posed for snaps together as Gisele celebrated her sister's arrival from Brazil on Instagram.

The slim mother donned a sheer tank top that put her toned torso on full display as she wore a black blazer outfitted with retro shoulder pads.

Gisele kept her hair in a neat ponytail for the event centred on her work with photographer Johan Lindeberg for the BLK DNM's sixth wild poster campaign.

Gabriela, 31, sported shiny denim trousers, high heeled pumps, and a white tank top.

Departing from her sister, the fresh-faced Brazilian wore her hair down over her shoulders to the elite gathering.

But it was Gisele who was unable to contain her excitement, posting a snap of the two with the caption: 'So happy my sister Gabi is in town!'

While only one year apart the two sisters could not be more different.

The pair began modelling together on their mother's insistence in 1993, but Gisele's career soon took off after she was discovered by the Elite modelling agency in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

After Gisele moved to New York in her early twenties Gabriela visited the American city to study English for three months - when the girls were 21 and 20 respectively.

While in the fashion hub the younger Bündchen modelled for various high end campaigns and got tips from her famous sister.

According to Isto Gente, Gisele advised: 'Feel safe and powerful. All eyes will be focused on you.'

But Gabriela ultimately decided that it wasn't for her after shooting for Elle and Allure with her sister in both Paris and Milan during fashion season in Europe

Moving back to Brazil, Gabriela resumed her law studies at the local university. 

Of her experience in the Big Apple, the blonde beauty said: 'There's no way not to get fat in the United States.'

Gabriela, who is now an entertainment lawyer in Brazil, said that she and Gisele 'never thought about being a model,' and were intent upon becoming volleyball players.

But after an injury to her left foot Gabriela turned to studying the law, abandoning her dreams of a professional career in the sport.

The law practitioner is happy with her current life and doesn't compare herself to her famous sibling, saying: 'My father taught us that each person is different from another. We have different beauties.'

Meanwhile, Gisele's career could not be going better.

Sources told Forbes that the model is 'probably taking home something in the $3 million to $5 million neighbourhood,' for the her brand new H&M contract.

The Brazilian bombshell topped last year's Forbes Highest Paid Models list, making approximately $45 million in annual earnings.

A very lucky woman. A masculine face and quite horsey looking, but somehow she has made it. I see prettier looking women walking down the street.
