'She was a chain smoker who enjoyed drinking, spending money and cussing like a sailor': Kim Zolciak's former publicist says Real Housewife was a 'nightmare'

She is known for being loud and outspoken on her reality TV shows, which have included The Real Housewives Of Atlanta and Don't Be Tardy....

But according to Kim Zolciak's former publicist, the reality star was a lot more rough around the edges before her rise to fame.

Controversial self-proclaimed 'Publicist/Manager/Marketing/Consulting/God Fearing/Realtor' Jonathan Jaxson has lifted the lid on Zolciak before she was famous.

In his self-published upcoming tell-all, Don’t You Know Who I Am Yet?, Jaxson describes Zolciak as the 'client from hell'.

Jaxson, who says he acted as the now 35-year-old's very first publicist claims that it took a lot of polishing to get Kim anywhere near TV ready.

'She was definitely rough around the edges,' he writes in his new tell all, an excerpt obtained by Radaronline.com.

'A chain smoker who enjoys drinking, spending money, cussing like a sailor and causing drama.'

Jaxon says he was tasked with making Kim a household name over several months, receiving $4,000 a month for his services.

But he says in his book, the job was not at all easy.

'Kim and I disagreed on a lot of things, and we often fought like siblings,' he writes.

'She was a difficult client because it’s best when someone will listen and take my advice.

'That’s the only way I can really help is if they let me lead the way. A client with their own ideas can take a lot of hard work and derail it in an instant.

'It was frustrating because I could see all of her potential and I genuinely wanted to help her get to the next level in her her career.'

Eventually Kim went on to become a big name in the TV world, but sadly for Jaxson that came with a price - a loss of his earnings.

The publicist claims that he was forced to take Kim to a small claims court after she failed to pay his fees.

Jaxson's name is a familiar one in the celebrity circuit.

Recently he was mixed up with Amanda Bynes's troubles when earlier this year she reportedly told him that she didn't want to 'live anymore' while 'high on drugs', prompting him to call the NYPD in an attempt to assist her.

At the time, Jaxson told RadarOnline.com he was beside himself with panic because she had told him: 'I don’t want to live anymore,' and he took it mean she planned to kill herself.

'Amanda had called me and we had a private conversation, but it was clear to me that she was high on drugs,' Jonathan Jaxson told the website.

'Then, she said that she didn’t want to live anymore. I took that as that she wanted to kill herself. I freaked out.'

The outspoken media man - who describes himself as a Publicist/Manager/Marketing/Consulting/God Fearing/Realtor - both called the police and rather less helpfully, tweeted the New York Police Department's account to tell them the 27-year-old was 'soooo messed up on drugs.'

Jaxson told RadarOnline.com he wanted them to set up a welfare check but though they didn't go to the apartment, he later received a call from an officer explaining that Bynes 'was fine.'

He added that it wasn't the first time he'd heard suchlike from her, and added: 'But this time, I had a mental image of her in a bathtub, wanting to hurt herself.

'Then I saw a photo of her in her bathroom that she’d posted on Twitter. I freaked. I did not know what else to do.'

'I thought consciously about it for a minute and decided to call the authorities. I thought, "I have to do something to save her."'

He concluded: 'When someone tells you they don’t want to live anymore, that in itself would provoke anyone who cares. I know that Amanda is a person crying out for help.'

It's worth nothing that Jaxson has a history when it comes to mouthing off about his celebrity friends or clients.

He also had to settle with Kim Kardashian after she sued him for claiming she had a staged wedding.
