Mum on the run! Makeup-free Connie Britton carries son Yoby in sling as she dashes through airport

She recently described being a single mom as 'challenging.'

But Connie Britton looked like she was handling it all in her stride on Friday.

The 46-year-old actress was dressed casually in a striped top and ripped jeans while toting son Yoby in a sling as she hurried though Los Angeles Airport to catch a flight.

The Nashville star kept it comfortable in white Converse trainers teamed with a floral fuchsia pink scarf wrapped around her neck.

Her famously luxurious red hair looked in tip-top condition as it hung perfectly down her back.

She added a scholarly look with tortoiseshell reading glasses, and appeared to forgo makeup for her flight.

The actress adopted the little boy from Ethiopia last November and has named him Yoby, a nickname of Eyob, which is his given name.

She told More magazine in March that despite the challenges that come with being a single mother, she has no regrets.

'Being a single mom is challenging, but never in a million years would that have stopped me. You get an idea in your head and you’re going to do it,' she said.

Hands full: Connie passed a bag to a friend or nanny as she climbed out of the car, clearly trying to juggle a number of things at once

She admitted her hectic filming schedule made things difficult.

'The schedule is insane to the point where I lose a lot of sleep at night worrying about how little time I have to sleep and mostly what little time I have to be with my son,' Connie says.

But she did acknowledge how lucky she is to be able to bring him to work with her each day.

'The flip side of that is, he’s doing great. He comes to the set every day,' she said. 'As working moms go, at least I have that luxury.'

@sallybc - that rule will never work in the USA and shouldn't either

- sallybc1965 , london, United Kingdom---- sounds like some completely outdated idiotic rule that makes no sense... if the parent has a loving heart the child will never feel like an outcast. i've known kids who have grown up with adopted parents of another race & they had a great childhood. thank god we don't have that rule in the US. there would be many children who would have never been places in a loving home.

Love Connie. I can't believe she's single. She's such a beautiful lady and seems like a nice person too.

In the UK the adoption rules are that children should be matched to their ethical, religious and cultural back ground. This rule is so that the child does not feel like an outcast. - sallybc1965, london, United Kingdom, 25/5/2013 11:08 I do not understand why this comment has so many red arrows.....It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that these rich women like Madonna can just go and buy themselves a black baby. If they want to give these children a better life, I suggest they sponser the child and leave them with their mothers!
