The Biggest Loser star Jillian Michaels took a break from her motivational speaking tour to appreciate the simpler things in life.

The trainer, whose self-help program is titled Maximise Your Life, was clearly taking her own advise to heart as she soaked in the joys of parenting with her partner Heidi Rhoades.

The happy couple spent Saturday afternoon in the elite beach community of Malibu, California, shopping with their children Lukensia, three, and one-year-old Phoenix.

While the fitness guru is usually the one who sets the pace, this time energetic Lukensia was dragging her along in the car park.

The women made a stop at a local pharmacy in the upmarket coastal enclave with Jillian leading their daughter by the hand as Heidi hip carried little Phoenix.

The 39-year-old superstar trainer donned casual flip flops and faded skinny jeans for the family excursion.

The television personality tucked her brunette locks into a newsboy cap as she topped her getup with Jackie O sunglasses and a loose blue V-neck T-shirt.

Lukensia held onto her famous mother's strong hand as she sported a white tank top, purple shorts, and black Velcro slip ons.

Nearly matching her partner's ensemble, Heidi wore rubber flip flops ripped denim trousers and a grey V-neck.

Completing her outfit was a cool pair of aviator sunglasses and a hipster fedora as she carried little Phoenix who chewed on a plastic toy in a simple jogging suit.

Meanwhile, Jillian has been slowing down her busy training schedule to focus on being their for her children with Heidi, who she has been dating for three years.

Jillian brought their adopted daughter Lukensia home from Haiti less than a week after Heidi, 31, gave birth to their son Phoenix last May.

The TV star revealed to InTouch magazine how her priorities have changed since becoming a mother.

'Finding the time to get my workouts in can be a challenge,' she said. 'My ass is definitely softer!'

But the fitness fanatic has learned to incorporate her kids in her workouts as she told People.com: 'I like to take Phoenix hiking in a Björn, or Lu for a bike ride in the sidecar or out with me on the paddle board,' she said.

'I take them for jogs with my jogging stroller, and we love to play on the beach. I do everything I can to be active with my kids.'

From listening to Jillian's podcast on a regular basis, I have gathered she is a down-to-earth, self-effacing person. Very likable.

What adorable kids! It's too bad photographers have cameras in these kids faces 24/7.

Cute! And the moms are actually quite thin in person. These photos make them look 10-15lbs heavier than they are. . . Wouldn't want to be on DM's pages. . .
