Now you see her and then you don't.

Zoe Saldana was in an adventurous mood as she enjoyed an evening out with her new beau at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood recently.

The Avatar star was spied in the passenger seat and Italian artist Marco Perego was at the wheel of the vehicle as it pulled up in the driveway.

Zoe, 34, was wearing a stylish black fitted jacket over black blouse and bright red lipstick while her long-haired lothario wore a brown leather wrap.

The pair, who were also joined by a male friend in the back seat, seemed to be having a marvelous time.

That is until onlookers spotted her and realised who she was.

The actress immediately covered her face with her hands and, when that didn't seem to do the trick, ducked for cover beneath the car dashboard.

Marco meanwhile pretended to go on as though nothing extraordinary was happening. 

The romance is only a few weeks old which might explain why Zoe isn't comfortable bringing it out in the open.

Marco, also 34, is a former soccer player from Venice, Italy, who arrived to New York a decade ago and quickly rose to fame within the art world, People reported.

Zoe recently ended a one-year romance with Hangover actor Bradley Cooper.

Previously Zoe had an 11-year relationship with former fiance, entrepreneur Keith Britton, but they split up in 2011.  

The actress said she is done dating actors in the June issue of Allure. 'Been there, done that, got the T-shirt,' she says.

She also joked that she might one day 'end up with a woman raising my children... that's how androgynous I am!'

However with Marco in the picture that may not happen after all.

Zoe's Allure cover drew a few negative comments, but the star defended the magazine's cover line which read 'Zoe Saldana: 115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache.'

Promoting her new movie Star Trek Into Darkness on the Today show this week, Zoe stated: 'I don't think it was to make an issue of my weight. I think it was to talk about that for a lightweight person, I seem to be really strong-minded.'

She looks terribly thin - Manc986 , Manchester, United Kingdom, 25/5/2013 12:49....................Thank you. Every time they show her on here, people always marvel on how good-looking she is but all I see is a thin girl. If she gains weight, maybe I will see what others see. However, I am convinced that she is a naturally thin girl, she has those kind of bodies in which she can eat whatever she likes and still don't gain weight. She's not starving herself.

I don't her so call sex appeal. I just don't she's very attractive. She has harsh features, she's too thin and her body is so masculine. She's all bones. Not a good look at all.

That guy looks like a nasty little grease ball! She can do sooo much better than someone with long, bleached hair. Zoe and Bradley NEED to get back together. They were a good couple.

Can't fault her for looking for love. I just hope she keeps her self-respect along the way so she doesn't end up with some douc*he*b*ag like Hallie's.
