Seatbelts on Regional School Buses

The Seatbelts on Regional School Buses subsidy program is now closed. Applications closed 4 February 2013.

The objective of the Seatbelts on Regional School Buses Program is to increase the number of school buses equipped with seatbelts for students in rural and regional areas. The scheme provides funding to fit seatbelts to new buses or retrofit existing buses.

As part of the Australian Government's commitment to making regional and rural roads safer for all Australians, the Seatbelts on Regional School Buses Program will continue for a further four years, from 2012–13 to 2015–16.
