Four ways to wear a shirt dress: Here's how to make your wardrobe work harder

A zingy yellow shirtdress, such as this one £119 Hobbs, is the ultimate flattering dress for summer. Wear it by pairing with plenty of neutrals, nudes and whites to keep it from clashing, and layered with jackets and knits to turn it into a full skirt.
It also can be belted to accentuate a nipped-in waist or dressed up with a bib necklace.

1 way to wear a dress - put it on your body and wear it.

I can only see two ways to wear a shirt dress, as two of those outfits are vile. Did the stylist make the choices in the dark?

I cannot believe a professional dresser put this together! The colours are awful together, a navy shirt or white shirt dress would be easier to use for a holiday and mix it with red and white accessories. Something drip dry would be needed too so it doesn't need ironing, certainly not a polyester fabric that is lined for a hot climate. So many British women make a huge mistake taking lined clothing into a hot climate then the boil.

When I travel, this sort of mix 'n match is absolutely necessary and so very useful. I don't take so many different pair of shoes, however.

I wasn't sure about some of the looks but it wasn't until I saw the weekend outfit that I realized this was a gag article. Just a joke, right? Surely? What look were you going for there, your twist on Princess Di circa 1980?

the only way to wear this dress is as it was intended, first picture. all else look a mess.

Do other women really change their handbags that much? I'll use a different handbag to go to a party, and still another type to go to an all day outdoor event, like a county fair, but otherwise I use the same purse every day. Hate the dress too. I've never been a fan of the "I can see your armpit" look. On a ballgown where you've spent hours, even days priming and getting ready it's fine. In more daily wear it's usually tacky looking.

I think they missed out on the "NOT" in the title to this article. Way to make a pretty dress look frumpy!

With a dress like that do yourself a favour - DON'T WEAR IT!

Did a five year old put this lot together? Or was it done in the dark?
