If you need someone to cook onsite for fieldwork, whether it’s an archaeological dig or a survey, there’s every chance that I may be able to help. I’ve been cooking for archaeological fieldwork in the Mediterranean and the UK since 1998 – after a career in cafes, restaurants and catering.

I love cooking, meeting new people and preparing good food in circumstances that some cooks might consider primitive. Cooking for field work means improvising, working with equipment that’s far from ideal, keeping your cool in a crisis, scouting out fresh local produce and always turning out nourishing, nutritious and delicious food.

After a hard day in the field archaeologists need food that excites the taste buds and rounds off the day in a most satisfying way.

Have a look through this site to see what I’ve done and get in touch if you have a project that needs an experienced, well-organised, reliable, friendly, unflappable and capable cook.
