Life can be tough when you're Paris Hilton.

As an in-demand socialite, she's required to attend countless parties across the globe, being seen in nightclubs and often DJing.

And it appears that her recent jaunt to Cannes with toyboy boyfriend River Viiperi proved too much, as she required some downtime soon after.

The pair were spotted on Tuesday enjoying a beach day in Hawaii, unwinding after their eventful trip that saw them party on yachts and drink champagne.

Paris continued her more classy approach to fashion with a large black hat, and a monokini covered up by a black lace beach dress.

Both Paris, 32, and River, 21, seemed to be blissfully happy sitting alongside one another at the beach, perhaps talking about their eventful few days at the French film festival.

However, it wasn't all fun and games at Cannes.

Paris' boyfriend River was involved in a scrap with an over eager fan who tried to get too close to Paris as the pair were entering a nightclub.

Unfortunately for River, the whole incident was caught on camera, drumming up some negative publicity for the duo.

The video showed River pushing a female fan with great force, after she failed to attract the attention of the heiress, and was shoved out of the way.

As she was pushed out of the way gasps from the crowd can be heard, clearly shocked at River's aggressive behavior towards an innocent young female fan.

Putting that aside, they managed to enjoy what was left of their trip, celebrating their one year anniversary as a couple.

'Happy 1 year anniversary to the gorgeous, beautiful, perfect, most amazing & most caring girl in this Planet,' he said, lavishing praise on the Californian beauty.

The couple were originally thought to have got together last September during New York Fashion week, however it would seem their couple status had been running since the time of Cannes last year as they now celebrate one year together.

And River's statement that Paris is his 'future wife' has of course sparked rumors that they may one day tie-the-knot.

His nipples are low because he used to be way more muscular and defined, but has probably stopped his work out routine due to always partying and travelling with Paris.

I hope he doesn't kick sand in the face of some teenager's face. If he does, I hope the teens dad teaches him a lesson he won't forget.
