The 'Jane Doe' tattoo that could save a seven-year-old girl from sex abuse ordeal: FBI releases images of women spotted in graphic video to try to identify attacker
|
The FBI is searching for two women in connection with pornographic images circulating online of a seven-year-old girl being repeatedly sexually abused.
Law enforcement officials are looking for 'Jane Doe 25' and 'Jane Doe 26' who they think can lead them to the unidentified male abuser in the images and, more importantly, the victim.
The graphic images first came to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in August of 2012 and they continue to circulate on child pornography sites.

Searching: Jane Doe 25 is described as a white female, likely between the ages of 18 and 25, with dark hair and a wing tattoo covering most of her back
'The victim is believed to be a young child enduring abuse currently and over the past several years by an unidentified male,' the FBI said in a statement.
The women were not 'actively engaging' in sexually abusing the child, the FBI said, but may lead them to identify the victim or abuser.
'Jane Doe 25' is described as a white female, likely between the ages of 18 and 25, with dark hair and a wing tattoo covering most of her back.
'Jane Doe 26' is described as a possibly Hispanic female, likely between the ages of 25 and 35, with dark hair and brown eyes.
The child was also wearing a San Bernardino County junior fire marshal's hat and visited the swimming facilities at a hotel located in Desert Hot Springs, California, possibly on the date of March 16, 2010.
An FBI spokeswoman told NBCLA: 'The images in the video are very graphic. We are dealing with a serious level of abuse. The young girl was repeatedly victimized.
'In some of the images the victim is seen swimming in a pool in the hotel, in the Desert Hot Springs area. We are hoping someone's memory is sparked by these images and gives us a call.
'It has been successful in the past and hopefully it will be again.'
Public appeal: The U.S. branded Rold Gold pretzels acted as a clue as to
which country the alleged attacks took place in. Authorities then
released images of the man in the videos who was later arrested
Earlier this month the FBI released pictures of a man who was seen in several online videos abusing a young girl over an extended period of time.
A packet of pretzels in the video led police to believe he was in North America and earned him the name the 'Pretzel Predator'.
Within a day of releasing the images, David Stevens, 58, of Salinas, California, was arrested and the girl taken to safety after a number of tip-offs from the public.
Anyone with information was asked to call a local FBI office or the FBI’s toll-free line at (800) CALL-FBI, or (800) 225-5324. Tips can also be submitted online at https://tips.fbi.gov/.

Something like this happened several years ago. They (law enforcement) showed freeze-frame photos of the abuser with no luck. Finally, to save the little girl, they showed a freeze-frame photo of the little girl. She was found within a day or two, and her photo's were immediately taken down. Perhaps that would work in this case too. It puts the focus where it belongs...on saving an innocent little girl.
