Dina and Michael Lohan have called a truce.
The divorced parents of Lindsay Lohan - who have been locked in a bitter war over how to deal with their troubled daughter - had dinner together at the W Hotel in Hollywood on Wednesday.
During the conciliatory meal, they agreed to attend family therapy sessions at The Betty Ford Clinic where Lindsay is currently being treated.
Bringing the family together: Lindsay Lohan - pictured in L.A. in April - will now have her formerly feuding parents Michael
and Dina Lohan working together to try and help her beat substance addiction
A source told RadarOnline: ‘Dina and Michael were talking nicely to each other and not fighting. There was no booze at the table.
‘Lindsay’s parents finally were in the same room without the cops being called and that’s a good thing.'
Adding: ‘Both of Lindsay’s parents have agreed to put aside all their old bad feelings and to be there together to make sure Lindsay is on the right track.’
Reformed: Previously troubled Michael - pictured in Beverly Hills in January recently revealed that he believes 'this time' his daughter will pull through
Michael told TMZ on Tuesday all of his daughter’s relatives are now rallying around the former child actress in a bid to help her stay on the straight and narrow.
He said: 'The whole family has come around her, her mother is coming around on Tuesday with Ali. We spoke, everyone is in really good spirits. And you know what, the whole family is behind us.'
And according to RadarOnline that meeting has occurred as planned.
The truce with Dina comes after his ex wife made public accusations, in January, that he physically abused her during their marriage.
Dina and Michael shared a 22-year union, culminating in divorce in 2007.
Truce maker: Dina who previously claimed her ex husband physically abused her has reconciled with Michael for her daughter's sake
Lindsay is currently undergoing 90 days of court-ordered rehabilitation treatment at the facility in Rancho Mirage, California, after pleading ‘no contest’ to lying to police about driving during a car accident last June.
While Michael believes she
is doing well at the Betty Ford clinic, he wants her to transfer to the
Lukens Institute in Florida, as he prefers their treatment methods.
The showbiz patriarch, who is engaged to
Kate Major, said: ‘Even Kate is behind her. We all just want her to
get better and she's going to. She comes to Lukens and I'm telling you
now she is going to get better.
‘This time more than other times I have a lot more faith in it and in her. I just know God is behind her this time.
‘It's just enough is enough and she knows that. In everyone's life there comes that epiphany and I guess it's come upon her in some shape or form. It's time and I think she knows that.’
Lindsay's current stint in rehab, is her sixth in total after a series of run ins with the law.
