The future's bright! Alessandra Ambrosio carries her little dog as she shows off her tanned legs in orange hotpants

Making the most of the sunny weather, Alessandra Ambrosio added some extra brightness to her outfit thanks to a pair of orange hotpants.

The 32-year old Brazilian model accessorised the shorts with an Hermes belt and a graphic print T-shirt as she headed to a beauty store with her little dog in tow.

Bringing out the bronzed tan of her toned legs, it was no secret this Victoria's Angel had it going on in LA on Friday.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses, the mother-of-two pulled her hair back into a half up, half down style to reveal her slim jawline.

On her feet, Alessandra wore a pair of thong sandals that will no doubt be a refreshing break from the high heels she wore in Cannes the week before.

Wearing no make-up, the model only used a touch of red lip tint to brighten her face on the sunny May day.

She parked up her car and carried her toy dog in one arm as she paid for the parking meter.

Alessandra's canine friend was her only company on the day out. as she was without her daughter five-year old Anja, son Noah - who has just turned one - and partner Jamie Mazur.

Mazur made his $20 million fortune by selling designer denim on college campuses and has been engaged to Ambrosio since 2008.

Despite juggling the role of mother and model, Alessandra always makes sure to take time to keep her body toned.

'I try to do yoga once a week,' she told OK! Magazine.

But while she's a fan of working out, she takes a bite more freedom with her diet.

'Fries, barbecue, but I also like to eat healthy.

'As long as you're feeling good with your weight and the way you look, that's what matters.'

Alessandra recently starred ont he cover for Harper's Bazaar Brazil.

She was shot for the celebrated magazine by famed photographer Terry Richardson.

And she's right, according to Victoria's Secret, Vogue, Elle, Revlon, Christian Dior, Prada, Chanel, Guess, the Pirelli calendar, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and a thousand other international brands who fall over themselves to have Alessandra represent them. I reckon their judgment counts for a bit more than some bitter nobody's from Nowheresville!

My Maltese is really similar looking too. They're so fun, playful, loving and fearless and are happiest when with their humans.
