Reunited! Happy Halle Berry picks up daughter Nahla from school after returning from filming new X-Men movie in Canada

Halle Berry proved that absence really does make the heart grow fonder as she grinned from ear to ear on Monday while picking up daughter Nahla from school.

The 46-year-old actress recently returned from Montreal, Canada where she had been filming her latest movie.

The pregnant actress arrived back in Los Angeles over the weekend and was happily back to her normal routine.

Halle continued to set the maternity wear standard as she picked up five-year-old Nahla from school.

The Oscar-winning actress looked ready for summer in cut-off denim shorts, a black crochet sweater over a white top, flip-flops, a tan fedora hat and dark sunglasses.

Nahla was dressed in a white T-shirt, grey skirt and sandals and her every move appeared to bring a smile to her mother's face.

While Halle was away, her former flame Gabriel Aubry took care of their daughter.

The French Canadian former model was spotted taking Nahla to school on Friday and resumed his school escort role on Monday.

Halle and Gabriel split in 2010 after being together since 2005 and she's expecting a son with her French actor fiancé Olivier Martinez.

Halle recently opened up about expecting her second child at her age, admitting that conceiving a baby with Olivier was a 'miracle'.

She told ET Online: 'I'm thinking that this is a miracle. I feel really happy. It's one of the best things that happened in my life, for sure.’

Halle, who won the 2002 Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Monster's Ball, was filming in Canada for her reprising role as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The move is due out in July 2014.

I hate the fact that the paparazzi follow this child and her family around like stalkers but I also enjoy updates on Halle and what's happening in her life. I'm a bit torn though I can not imagine how they get away with hanging around outside of a nursery or elementary school.

Why would you say 'former' model? He's in the 2013 Summer campaigns. He is a model. Anyway, Nahla looks like her Mom but definitely has her Dad's mouth.
