Charl Schwartzel hit the ball so consistently well at Muirfield Village that the former Masters champion twice had stretches of four straight birdies. And when he made a double bogey with an 8-iron in hand and his ball on a tee toward the end of the round, he got rid of that bad taste with one last birdie for a 7-under 65.

Jack Nicklaus: Tiger Woods-Sergio Garcia hubbub ‘stupid’

By Doug Ferguson - Associated Press

"Do guys have an issue one with another? They usually resolve it themselves," said Nicklaus. "You guys want to resolve it in the newspapers today. Nobody needs that. And I think they both finally said, 'It's enough. Forget it, guys. Let's move on.' In our days, I suppose there were times when you had an issue with somebody and it came about. You never read about it."

The Royal & Ancient Golf Club and U.S. Golf Association announced Tuesday, May 21, 2013 that Rule 14-1b would start in 2016. Tiger Woods: ‘No’ smoothing over Sergio Garcia flap

By Joseph White - Associated Press

Hardly the best of the friends, the Woods-Garcia relationship hit petty proportions during this month's Players Championship over a dispute as to whether Woods inadvertently or maliciously — or somewhere in between — disrupted the Spaniard's swing when they were paired together during the tournament's third round.

Tiger Woods trumps Sergio Garcia, wins Players Championship

By Doug Ferguson - Associated Press

Woods ended a weekend of verbal sparring with Garcia by doing what he does best — closing out tournaments, even if he let this one turn into a tense duel over the final hour at the TPC Sawgrass. Tied with Garcia with two holes to play, Woods won by finding land on the last two holes for par to close with a 2-under 70. If only it were that simple for the Spaniard.
