Toni Braxton Will No Longer Record New Music

After 20 years in music, Toni Braxton says she will no longer record new music.

“I’m just not going to do any albums anymore; maybe touring occasionally here and there because I love performing, but not as much as I did in the past. But no new projects," Toni Braxton told theGrio.

Braxton continued to tell ABC News' "Good Morning America" today (Feb. 8) that her heart isn't in music anymore. "I don't feel the love for music anymore. It' s not affecting me, making me feel that thing i've always felt when I perform. It's leaving me. I'm not sure what's going on in my life. Maybe a female mid-life crisis? My heart isn't in it anymore. i hate to say that," she said.

Braxton, who was diagnosed with microvascular angina in 2008 and systemic lupus erythematosus in 2010, has been taking it easy and focusing on film and TV projects. She stars as the leading actress in upcoming Lifetime film, "Twist of Faith," where she plays a Christian single mother who falls in love with an Orthodox Jewish man.

The singer/actress, whose body of work includes 11 Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums-charting projects including seven studio albums, has sold over 15 million copies according to Neilsen SoundScan. Her '93 self-titled debut album spent three weeks at No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop albums and has sold 5,157,000 copies to date. Her follow-up "Secrets" -- which features hits like "You're Makin' Me High" and "Un-Break My Heart" -- debuted and peaked at No. 1 on July 6, 1996. It's sold 5,388,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
