Just days ago it was officially announced that she was sacked from FX series Anger Management.

But as Selma Blair strolled through sunny West Hollywood on Friday, it appeared that life was moving forward for the 40-year-old actress.

Initial reports suggested Selma was sacked because she had complained to producers about Charlie's work ethic, with which she was unimpressed.

But RadarOnline now claims the actress never actually went to the show's producers with complaints about Charlie.

A source told the website Charlie was 'lusting' for the actress and the environment became tense.

'Selma didn’t trash Charlie on the set,' the source said, adding that, 'Everyone on the show was ticked off at his behavior but no one complained to the producers because they knew he would fire them.'

The source says that Selma had vented about her frustrations about her co-star privately to a friend, but that a string of gossip brought her comments right back to Charlie.

The source added that Selma does not know which of their mutual friends took her private comments to Charlie, but that 'Charlie was furious when it got back to him'.

'When he first heard about it, things changed on the show. Suddenly his character was no longer sleeping with her character,' the insider said.

Finally, the source revealed, 'he [Charlie] went off. He demanded she be fired. It’s his show and she was let go.'

Speaking about Charlie's feelings towards Selma, the source said that he had been attracted to her since he saw her in Cruel Intentions: 'Let’s just say he was crazy about her. Call it lust at the very least.'

'With Selma he went from loving her to hating her. And once he turns, that’s it. She was done.'

But on Friday, the brunette actress looked quite happy as she sported a summery cream-colored shirt with an embroidered neck and long sleeves, protecting her arms from the sun's rays.

She teamed it with blue skinny jeans and a cute pair of white and orange flats, adding another splash of color with a bright yellow handbag.

Selma accessorised with a gold necklace and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, while her brunette tresses and bangs were kept pretty and natural.

The Cruel Intentions actress confidently hopped out of her car, filled the parking metre and hit the sidewalk, doing a good job of maintaining a neutral expression amidst the drama.

Deadline Hollywood are claiming Sheen (the show's star and one of the executive producers) took it upon himself to sack Selma via a profanity riddled text message in which he labelled her a 'c***,' but the controversial actor's publicist declined to comment on the allegation.

As for the show's makers, Lionsgate Television, they issued a statement on Tuesday saying: 'We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best.'

So, what's up next? They say everything happens for a reason, so surely the star is ready for her next project
