She was born in the UK, but she's taking on American trends.

As Lily Collins stepped out in Beverly Hills, California on Monday, the 24-year-old actress proved she's the newest member of the scarf-as-a-headband club - just as Khloe Kardashian recently rocked.

Jazzing up her hairdo, The Blind Side star knotted the patterned fabric around her brunette locks that were styled in a messy top bun.

Appearing effortlessly chic, the model and actress donned a loose-fitted, printed T-shirt and a pair of relaxed skinny jeans that she cuffed around her ankles.

Making another statement, Lily sported a funky pair of black, platform sandals that matched her slouchy handbag.

And shielding herself from the summer breeze, she sported an army green jacket over her pieces.

Lily - the daughter of Phil Collins - is currently filming Love, Rosie, a romantic comedy that's set to release in 2014.

In the movie, she plays Rosie who is separated from her friend Alex after he moves to the USA from Ireland and they work to keep their relationship alive.

She recently spoke about her experience of working on the film from the Dublin set she shared with co-stars last month, including Sam Claflin and Tamsin Egerton - as well as Ceclilia Ahern, whose novel provides the basis for the story.

'Cecilia is wonderful,' the actress gushed to the Irish Times.

'She is such a lovely lady. It’s wonderful to have the creator on the set with you to share the excitement.'

Fat dumb ogre Khloe Kardashian isn't the first person to put a scarf in her hair. Madonna was doing it back in the 80's. Why must you insert these bimbos in every article?
