I was away from my files last week and unable to post this, but here's the latest of the NMH targets. 

1.6 Billion Rounds

Many seem to be demanding that DHS answer this question:

I think I blogged this once. 

In summary, the mom and pop stores get run out of the market.  The only suppliers left are the Big Box stores (The Dicks) who sell only the guns, ammo, and parts that the government approves of (Changing the culture around guns so as to gain control of that culture and thereby impose their wishes.  Kind of like they did with higher education.)  Price skyrockets as availability plummets.  And if badness kicks off, Leviathan already has enough for 20 years while you just spent your last few bucks on $1/round Wolf 5.56. 

The why should be obvious.  Let's get to the more immediate question. 

Where is it? 

My guess is that the ammo has not been stored in an even distribution geographically or by population.  Sure, Leviathan might reinforce strongholds.  But they don't need to prepare for an invasion of an area they've have already conquered.  Why not instead stage the supplies near where they expect to need them?  This shortens the logistical tail-or might eliminate the need for long range resupply when badness is started.  It's an excellent insurance policy against a breakdown of logistics, a lack of fuel to support those logistics, or active resistance that might block key roads, chokepoints, or bridges.  In other words, all the things they expect to happen when they initiate the badness. 

When badness starts, government forces might act as cells-independent, self-sustaining for a time with orders to work to cut off wide swaths of the country from access to (and assistance from) each other.  Those cells can link up then they can assist each other and encircle the unfriendly elements and handling them one by one. 
If you know where the ammo is, then who the intended target is would be pretty clear.  So work this question from the other end.  Is there any doubt as to who the intended target is?  Sheriffs who pledge not to carry out any unconstitutional order.  Oathkeepers.  Pregnant mothers with photoshopped firearmes, kids with firearms, grandmas with oxygen tanks and firearms, hospice patients with firearms.  Dogs.  Bitter clingers.  Cities, Counties, and States that did not vote for Obama.  If you're reading this, then you are the who.  You are the target. 

If you are the target, then there just might be a big pile of US Government ammo nearby.
If you find Leviathan's ammo cache nearby, then you are a target.

If you don't find the big cache of US ammo nearby, then look harder. 

But there's probably no need to worry.  I'm sure this sequester business will slow down their ammunition purchases.  At least until they "tax" your savings account.

A brief mea culpa.  The font that I used on the "ad" for these targets ate the space between the "I" and an adjacent letter in some cases making FAILED look like FALED.

BREAKING: Dumping Dead Politicians in the Potomac!!!

NORFOLK (AP) -- A surge in the dumping of dead politicians upstream from Washington D.C. - with more than 2,800 carcasses floating into the seaport through Monday - has followed a police campaign to curb the illicit trade in sick politician parts.
The effort to keep infected politician off dinner tables may be fueling new health fears, as Norfolk residents and local media fret over the possibility of contamination to the city's water supply, though authorities say no contamination has been detected.

Authorities have been pulling out the swollen and rotting politicians, some with their internal organs visible, since Friday - and revolting images of the carcasses in news reports and online blogs have raised public ire against local officials.

"Well, since there supposedly is no problem in drinking this water, please forward this message, if you agree, to ask Norfolk's party secretary, mayor and water authority leaders if they will be the first ones to drink this meat soup?" lawyer Matt Roark said on his verified microblog.

On Monday, Norfolk officials said the number of dumped politician and intern carcasses retrieved had reached 2,813. The city government, citing monitoring authorities, said the drinking water quality has not been affected.

Norfolk's Agriculture Committee said authorities don't know what caused the politicians to die, but that they have detected a sometimes-fatal politician disease in at least one of the carcasses. The disease is associated with the porcine sequestrovirus, which is widespread in politicians but doesn't affect humans or other livestock.

Norfolk's city government said initial investigations had found the dead politicians had come from Chevy Chase in neighboring Maryland. It said it had not found any major epidemic.

Julian Masking, a lifetime resident of Norfolk, was the first to expose the problem when he took photos of the carcasses and uploaded them onto his microblog on Thursday.

"This is the water we are drinking," Masking wrote. "What is the government doing to address this?"

His graphic photos apparently caught the attention of local reporters, who followed up.

Masking said he's most concerned about water safety. "Though the government says the water is safe, at least I do not believe it - given the number of the politicians in the river. These politicians have died from disease," Masking said.

The dumping follows a clampdown on the illegal trade in contaminated politician.

In America, politicians that have died from disease should be either incinerated or buried, but some unscrupulous farmers and animal control officials have sold problematic carcasses to slaughterhouses. The politician harvested from such carcasses has ended up in markets. As a food safety problem, it has drawn attention from USDA, which has made it a priority to crack down on gangs that purchase dead diseased politicians and process them for illegal profits.

Maryland State Police said on their official website that police have been campaigning to rid the market of unsafe politician meat and that the efforts were stepped up this winter as families gathered to celebrate Black History Month in February.

In one operation last year, police in Chevy Chase stamped out a criminal gang that acquired and slaughtered diseased politicians. The provincial authorities said police arrested 12 suspects and confiscated nearly 12 tons of tainted politician meat.

"Ever since the police have stepped up efforts to crack down on the illicit market of sick politicians since last year, no one has come here to buy dead politicians, and the problem of politician dumping is worse than ever this year," an unnamed villager told the Chevy Chase Daily newspaper, which is run by the local Communist Party.

Julia Richardson, a government worker for The Village Voice, told the newspaper that villagers were breeding too many politicians.

Richardson said the village had 10,078 dead politicians in January and another 8,325 in February. "We have limited land in the village," he said. "We do not have that much land for burial."

Edward A.M. LeDoux, a professor at the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at American University in Washington, acknowledged that there is illegal trade in diseased dead politicians in China.

"According to the law, dead politicians must be burned or buried, but if there is not enough regulatory monitoring, it's possible some of them will be sold into the market at low prices," he said, adding that it isn't known how serious the problem is.
