Despite all its promises of increased productivity and morale, BYOD programs carry inherent risks. The challenge for IT and business leaders are to come up with a program that satisfies employee desires for flexibility with corporate needs for security. A well-crafted governance program is the answer.
Google has a busy couple of weeks coming up. The company will likely take the wraps off a new Nexus 7 tablet this week and its Moto X smartphone next week, according to reports.
By now, you know that moving the enterprise to the cloud is a complex operation, with effects on the whole business. Careful planning is needed to be sure the migration goes smoothly.
While writing my last post about putting new products out into the world, I lampooned Microsoft for stinking -- albeit in a very successful way. As an example of the opposite, I held aloft the likes of Google, IBM, Amazon, and, wait for it, Apple.
