Supported by ‘Open Ukraine’ Foundation, Yaroslav Fedoryshyn participated in International Hanoch Levin Theatre Festival

Supported by Arseniy Yatsenyuk ‘Open Ukraine’ Foundation, Yaroslav Fedoryshyn, Manager-Art Director of Lviv Academic Theatre “Voskresinnia” (‘Resurrection’), Manager-Art Director of ‘Zolotiy Lev’ (‘Golden Lion’) International Theatrical Festival, Honored Artist of Ukraine visited International Hanoch Levin Theatrical Festival that was held from 17 to 26 June 2013 in Tel Aviv.

On the stage of Tel Aviv Chamber Theatre the famous theatres of Europe and Israel presented plays by Hanoch Levin, one of the most famous play-writer of Israel. The festival programme included many plays that proved not only the popularity and international interest to Levin’s drama, but also rich variety and extent of his plays: poetry, fine arts, music, theatre, dance and drama. Also the festival hosted press-conferences, round-tables, dedicated to 70th birthday anniversary of Hanoch Levin and different meetings with prominent theatre critics and theatre directors: Moni Moshonov and Anna Novitska (directors of “Copper” play, originally from Israel and Poland); Yan Englert and Laurent Gutmann (directors of Israel’s theatres) and others.



Literary Kraina Mriy: The Book Holiday of July!

On July 6-7, supported by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation the Literary ‘Kraina Mriy’ Festival was held for the sixth time. Traditionally the festival guests were welcome by Book Fair, various activities on ‘Master Classa’, ‘Kurin’, ‘Literary Kitchen’ stages and on the Literary stage.

This year the “assortment” of ‘Master-Classa’ was featuring a  book theme and a Kupala Holiday theme as well: Midsummer leaflet made in quelling technique, a ward-flysheet in calligraphy technique, Kupala’s cutting techniques, making a notebook, a book separator in decoupage technique… In the shades of the small “Master-Classa” there were always lovers of handwork around.

“Kurin’” stage hosted activities with participation of novice writers, but being novice did not stop them from gathering big audiences. G@kivsky readings, “Sevama” literary union, Kateryna Hladka, Volodymyr Antoschuk and other spoke at the event.
