INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Czech Telecommunication Office (hereinafter "the Office") which authority, as specified in Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications and on the Amendments to the Other Acts (Electronic Communications Act), is defined within the scope of the Office activities, ensures that electronic communications and related international activities within number of governmental and non-governmental agencies and organisations are being performed.

Our Mission
The Czech Telecommunication Office exercises state administration in the area of electronic communications and postal services, including market regulation and the determination of business conditions to substitute for the missing effects of economic competition and to provide conditions for appropriate functioning of economic competition and for the protection of users and other market actors until a fully competitive environment is achieved. The Office also provides protection of certain services in the area of audio and television broadcasting and information society services.

General Information
The new Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications and on Amendment to Certain Related Acts (the Electronic Communications Act) came into effect as at 1 May 2005, repealing Act No. 151/2000 Coll., on Telecommunications and on Amendment to Other Acts, as amended.
